Young and old can explore this natural wonderland on foot or by four-wheel drive vehicle, or take a horse ride to enjoy the views from the elevation of a comfortable saddle on a well schooled horse or pony.
Each cottage is adorned with rich textures, spacious sunny bathrooms and living rooms with cosy fireplaces. Each has a large wooden deck positioned to offer nightly sunsets over the ocean. Grootbos Nature Reserve provides nature lovers with a unique opportunity to explore the Cape’s beautiful flora and fascinating marine life. Dedicated conservationists accompany guests daily on botanical tours and nature trails, 4x4 drives, horse riding and boat tours to view Cape Fur Seals and African Penguins. Enjoy a magnificent 19-mile coastline with secluded swimming area, white sandy beaches and fascinating archaeological caves. From July to November, delight in close encounters with Southern Right Whales from boat or shore, or for experience extreme adventure, dive with the world-renowned Great White Sharks of nearby Gansbaai.
